M & M

The wedding weekend was truly wonderful.

The bride and groom were radiant, excited, happy, nervous, joyful, etc. Just about any adjective you can think of to describe the typical fairy tale bride and groom should hit those two spot on.

Wishing them the very best on their next great adventure.

It rained a little after the rehearsal at the church and the photographer got some fun
photos of M&M with the umbrella outside the church.
I helped Martin and Dale set up for the rehearsal dinner at Mad River, a restaurant in Charleston.

My contribution - setting up the dessert area.
One of the 3 gorgeous arrangements made by Dale.
Martin, Michael and Matt rehearsing their moves.

GG was SO SO excited to be a part of their day.
Matt and I hanging out after the rehearsal.

Matt sporting Martin's shades while Martin gets his picture made.

Dale's centerpiece arrangement at the rehearsal dinner.

I overheard Gray go up to a girl at the rehearsal dinner and go "Where's Maggie?".
Too cute.
He found her and held her hand and stayed by her side for a long while.
I am blessed to have married into a family that is close and seems to be growing closer as it expands.

We stayed in a beach house on Folly Beach, SC
This is a morning beach walk on 8.30.2013 -
The wedding day!

Got my hair and makeup professionally done. It looked nice, but it was heavily applied. ;-)

Groom getting ready for the day.

Matt and his dad.

Bridal party on the trolley for photos and then to take us to the church.

Love Mag's face here. Such a special couple and moment.

I was honored to be asked to do a wedding reading for M&M.
The preacher and I joked when we saw that I was the one with the top billing.
Trust me, he did all the important stuff.

First Dance.

Crockett gals.

Mother and son dance.

I need to compile all the photos I have of Marg kissing my cheek. It's become a family joke over the years.
We had a blast.

Posing after spilling her drink.

The Myers.

Rob, Uncle Danny and Matt flying kites at the beach house party the next day.

Had a crew of about 25 watching the Bama game in the beach house.

Mat and I were ready for the game in our team colors.

Wedding

Celebrating these two this weekend.

Wishing them all the happiness in the world.

And a marriage with as much fun as the one I have been blessed to have.

Lately...

Lately, we've been preparing for B's arrival.
Only 10 and a half weeks left!

Lately, we've made some tasty suppers with friends.
Specifically breakfast for supper - I made my grandma's chocolate gravy for the first time on my own and it was DELICIOUS!

Lately, I've been goofing off with my nephew and teaching him how to take iPhone selfies.

Lately, I may have received this text during the week after our weekend visit where said nephew had taken some awesome shots all on his own - and immediately told his mom, "Ashley showed me" when he was asked about these photos. Way to throw me under the bus, buddy. Haha.

Lately, my chihuahua has taken my Snoogle pregnancy pillow as his own.

Lately, we've had fun hanging with family in town and Matt has enjoyed playing with his cousin, C.

Lately, we (I) budgeted in a splurge item for baby B - a pink pettiskirt.

Lately, I may have put said pettiskirt on Stevie. She may have gotten a little sassy.

Lately life has been pretty good.

Baby B

As you can tell from my elephant/peanut ticker on the blog, I am starting my third trimester this week! Less than 3 months until I can meet and hold my sweet baby girl!

This pregnancy has gone very well - for which I am very thankful. Any scares have ended up being minor. Everyday I can feel her kicking and dancing around in my belly and I love every second.

I've started a baby/pregnancy blog that I'm keeping private for B's sake. There's a link to it at the top of the page in the blog menu bar. If you'd like to subscribe, just leave a comment on this blog with your email address and I'll send you the invite. Don't be shy if you want to follow. I am not keeping it private because I don't like sharing her, I'm only keeping it private because I don't want photos of her or information about her to show up on Google search engines, etc. for strangers to see and use/copy my stuff.

Plus, with the eternal lifetime of things on the internet - I would hate for her to apply for a job someday and that employer pull up photos of her from when she was 6 mos old and her mom blogged about that time she put a rock up her nose. (I'll also start being very cautious about what I post of my nephews on this public blog, too. Protecting their privacy, present and future, is just as important to me as B's.)

So for her sake I feel better keeping her shenanigans (and those of her parents) limited to a small audience.

Here I am in my 27 week glory:

Don't forget to comment with your email if you'd like to follow the baby blog!

Matt made this for Gray since he is so excited about Baby B - his new cousin.

The sweetest little guy I've had the privilege to rock and hold and love on since G.

Getting some love from Mom. He's got a tight grip on a tiger that Matt and I bought for G. So glad R has befriended him.

Uncle Map and Gray winding down with some Baby Einstein and twitter after a busy afternoon playing soccer and tag.

Wil on patrol protecting us and the ribs smoking on the grill.

The aforementioned ribs. DELISH.

He's not spoiled AT ALL.

Well said.

The Padgett's. Love 'em.

Wil is worn out.

Wil is ready for another trip.
